REAL STORIES

During our epic trip north in the Race to Alaska. Sailing 750 miles double-handed makes sail changes and maneuvers that much harder, but the grip, warmth and comfort with Tahma Boots made all the difference. We'll be back for more adventures next summer along with our Tahma low cut boots!

“The grip and comfort stands out for me. Feeling confident with my boots on the deck is super important. Safety is everything on the ocean.”

“I love these boots so much! I definitely will be wearing them this summer in Alaska and telling everyone about the brand and how much I like them!”

“As someone who comes from a long line of wide feet, I’ve always struggled to find comfortable/supportive footwear, especially in the workplace. These boots have been a total game changer - not only is work more enjoyable, but not having my mind on foot discomfort throughout the day lends me so much more energy to get on with the rest of my life. Huge thanks to you all!

“Fishing has been fantastic, walleye, smallmouth, sturgeon and even slipped in a few days of spring chinook.  I've worn both pairs of boots quite a bit now, the 7" I've got about 30 days on and love them!”

“I had a nice long season fishing Bristol Bay and Sitka. I absolutely loved my boots. I put the smart feet hike insoles in them and had no issues or pain working 10+ hours a day on my feet. My feet stayed warm, dry and comfortable.”

My side-by-side comparison of the Tahma vs Xtratuf boots. Traction on deck. Advantage goes to Tahma. Support & comfort. Tahma’s superior lateral support at the ankle and extra cushy sole give them the win. Easy on/easy off. Moving from the deck to the house is a constant way of life. Tahma boots win hands down. Tahma’s are the best-functioning boots I've worn.

“As a sanitation worker in NYC for 10 years, I encounter all sorts of weather and trash situations. The Tahama Griptec boot is perfect for all the conditions I deal with. The sole grip is sturdy and firm, which means I'm never slipping or falling. The boot is very comfortable, waterproof, and the safety toe gives me the security I need. I love these boots and am grateful to be an owner.”

“I am a fisherman with almost two decades of experience and the Tahma Griptec boot is the best boot I've ever worn. The break-in period was minimal, if not nonexistent. And, aside from the super-grip sole, the fact that my heels don’t slip is what I appreciate the most.”

“The thing I was most interested in was the durability. After two months and 400,000 pounds of beautiful wild sockeye salmon harvested, the Tahma GripTec boot looks crazy close to how it did brand new out of the box. The tread is still immaculate and all of the seams remain viable. No leaking or slipping whatsoever. I am very pleased with their performance and would buy these over anything else on the market without hesitation.”

“I love the Tahma boots! They are much more comfortable than Xtratuf because of the heel. My favorite part of the Tahma GripTec heel is the material it is made of. I bought a brand new pair of XtraTufs for crabbing and within two weeks I had a hole in them. That was about the time I received the Tahma's and I was like, damn I bet these are the boots! I've had about 15 long-line trips on the GripTec. It’s gonna be hard for me to go back to the classics.”
